MVG SPORTS EFFONE ENDGAME
INTRO
Welcome to MvG Sports Effone Endgame, where
YOU can win a World Constructors Championship!!!...of sorts. Will this fantasy racing game end in a dream,
or a nightmare? Your decisions determine
your fate!
RULES/HOW TO PLAY
Choose 2 F1 drivers
before each race begins to score points for you. You have up until the last red light goes off
to choose your drivers for a race, however I would prefer that you have your
selections in at least an hour before the race begins. F1 spans many time zones, so be sure to keep
abreast of what time each race starts, in accordance with your local time.
IMPORTANT CAVEAT
-
You
CANNOT choose any driver more than 3 times throughout the season.

In the actual selection
list, I will try to keep drivers in the same column to avoid/eliminate
confusion. I will also try to keep my
eye on potential invalid submissions, however
ultimately, the responsibility to make legal picks is YOURS.
POINTS/SCORING
In MvG Sports Effone Endgame, all
positions score points! I’ve output my
own auto racing standings since 2006, and I’ve used the below format since
2010. The race results that will be used
to score this game are the ones on the “RESULTS” tab on the official Formula 1
website. I generally don’t point drivers
who DNS (i.e. 2013 Nico Hulkenberg
at Australia), however for this contest, those drivers will score points,
applicable with their finishing position.
Hulkenberg therefore would have finished 22nd
and earned 0 points for that race, but hopefully this isn’t something that will
be a regular occurrence in F1 in 2014, or any year for that matter. I will list your selections and points earned
each week, but if you want to determine the placing of your “retired” driver,
simply count up from 1 from the winner.
The user/player with the most points at the end of the season (in 2014
it’s the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix) wins MvG Sports Effone Endgame!

HOW TO JOIN/PLAY
Now here’s where I like
to make things a bit more fun/interesting.
I love the 3 letter designations that F1 uses for their drivers, thus
I’m implementing it for Effone Endgame as well. I, Trevor, will be MvG
to avoid any confusion. You will each
also choose a car number (multiple “car numbers” will be allowed as long as the
3 letter designations are different so if you are WIL and want to use number
54, and MIX wants to use number 54 as well, it will be granted to both), and
our locations of residence will be a part of our IDs as well to add to the
ambiance/worldliness of this contest, be it a USA State, Canadian Province, or
a country.
First Name: Trevor
Last Name: Riley
Email Address: you@anysite.com
USA State, Canadian Province, or Country of Residence: Michigan/Quebec/Norway
Username: Can be the first 3 letters of your last name
(RIL) or your first initial of your first name and the first 2 letters of your
last name (TRI), or your first, middle, and last initials (TWR).
Car Number (Pick Three in order of importance, 00-99): 7-20-87
NOTE: Your MvG Sports Effone Endgame ID will
be a combination of your car number, your username/3 letter designation, and
your state/province/country (i.e. – 2-MvG-MI…if I lived in Quebec it’d be
2-MvG-PQ…if I lived in Norway 2-MvG-NOR).
In the event that all three of your car numbers are already taken for
your username, I will choose a car number for you at random.
Your email address
will be kept confidential and I will not sell, list, or otherwise distribute
email addresses or any information you send to any mvgsports.com email address.
To play, I would
prefer that you email your selections to f1@mvgsports.com
before the given race begins. I suppose you
could post your choices in the group or message me somehow in a pinch, but for
the sake of secrecy and strategy, emailed selections work best. When sending your selections, please include
the following information…
MvG Sports ID: 2-MvG-MI (replace with yours)
Email Address: you@anysite.com (replace with yours)
If you have any
comments, questions, suggestions, or other feedback, post in the Formula 1 Facebook group, or drop me an email at f1@mvgsports.com. Enjoy MvG Sports Effone Endgame and good luck!
